Through assessments, recommendations and therapeutic interventions, the occupational therapist enables his clients to become as independent as possible in their daily activities at home, at work and during their leisure activities, following musculoskeletal injuries. The occupational therapist specializes in working with clients with hand and upper extremity injuries by providing treatments in the clinic as well as by manufacturing custom splints. The occupational therapist also works with clients with back injuries and lower extremity injuries in order to maximize their potential to return to work through the evaluation and development of work skills. The occupational therapist may also carry out the assessment of your workstation to ensure that your return or reintegration to work is a success.
